Weekend without points for the Forward racing Team in Germany

Riders found themselves having to deal with a slippery tarmac and a long race which did not allowed them to get better placements. In the end, the Sachsenring circuit proved to be difficult.

Stefano Manzi suffered from the poor grip of this track and had to stop in the pit lane to check the condition of his bike after a slight track exit. After starting again he unfortunately already lost a few laps.

Stefano:“The race weekend started well, but unexpectedly in the warm-up I suffered from a lack of grip on this type of tarmac and we couldn’t improve it in the race. I will have to work hard to understand the causes and find the changes to compensate the missing grip.”

Eric Granado ont he other hand managed to finish the 28 laps with a constant pace but only with a small improvement over the lead in the standings. He closed the race in 21st position.

Eric:“It was a hard and long race, I started well, but after a couple of turns there was a contact with another rider that made me lose the positions I had recovered. The track conditions were very difficult, many riders crashed, I found a good pace and managed to be consistent throughout the race turning very close to my best time.”

The second part of the championship will start in BRNO, Czech Republic at August 3.
