MVR Racing wins with Wahr on Schleiz

mvr schleiz aug 2018 a
The 27th and 28th of July, race 5 and 6 were held at the German circuit of Schleiz. It was a weekend where former super sport driver Kevin Wahr would take place on our bike for the first time. Despite good hope that Wahr, given his experience and qualities, but also Marco Freyer who is going through a good year, could score points these matches, we were somewhat reluctant to make a prediction about possible results of Wahr.

This weekend was the first time that Wahr stepped on our Yamaha R6 without having tested in advance. There was hard work the days before the race to get the bike "fit" for Wahr.
This succeeds quite a bit during qualifying resulted in a nice P5 for Wahr and a solid P14 for Freyer with opportunities for improvement.

Race 1
During the first race Freyer managed to improve some places and eventually ended on a very neat P10 in this competitive driver field. Wahr managed to drive to a P2 which would be better than expected. Unfortunately the competition management judged that there would have been a "jump start". This means that the competition management was of the opinion that Wahr would have started before all the starting lights were off. In analyzing the images we were given a different opinion, however, the competition management stayed with their decision and Wahr was punished with 10 positions. This meant that he finished 12th instead of second. A disappointment, but not something to think about for a long time because the second race was coming.

Race 2
The second race can not be described any differently than a super race from Wahr and a good race from Freyer. Wahr was able to control the race and book the first win for the MVR Racing Team this season. Freyer rode a stable race and ended on a P13.
