Thomas Covington of Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing has missed the podium on one point during the sixteenth match of the MX2 World Championship in Frauenfeld, Switzerland. After a strong third place in the first moto, Covington came in the second moto after a bad start no further than a sixth place with which he finished fourth in the day results.

Thomas continued his upward trend of the second part of the season in Switzerland. In the first moto he quickly took fourth place. In the second part of the game he made an important overtaking maneuver and came third over the finish line. In the second heat he did not take a good start and had to catch up. He gave everything back to a sixth place, but just missed the podium.

Thomas Kjer Olsen had to go deep in the first moto by a fall in the first round. Olsen came back to a tenth place from the rear, but took over in the second moto by coming in fifth. With these results he finished in seventh place in the day standings and remains in third place in the standings.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing now travels to Bulgaria where next weekend the seventeenth race for the World Championship will be held on the circuit of Sevlievo.

Comment Thomas Covington: "My driving was good all weekend and I'm happy about that. I had a good speed and did my best to achieve good results.I had a hard time at the start and that is really a point that needs to be worked on. We are getting closer to the end of the season and I feel stronger and stronger. I am looking forward to the next two Grand Prix's in Bulgaria and Turkey.
